This popular saying is the mother of VASUDHA FOUNDATION a charitable organization, which was established in the year 2002
by Mr. Mantena Venkata Rama Raju chairman of VASUDHA GROUP OF INDUSTRIES
with an objective to fulfill the social responsibilities by helping the needy
in different sections of the society.
Taking birth in Garagaparru village near Bhimavaram
in West Godavari Dist. in Andhra Pradesh, VASUDHA FOUNDATION
started its charitable services from its place of birth in developing
and providing basic infrastructure to the village school.
VASUDHA FOUNDATION, after seeing the problems that are being faced by various sections of the public, soon enhanced its objectives and decided to
- Supply food grains to the poor and needy
- Conduct medical camps in the places where there is no such facility
- Distribute of school books to the poor children
- Give financial assistance to the economically backward students
- Distribute clothes and blankets to the senior citizens
- Supply food grains, clothes and medicines to the old age homes and so on
VASUDHA FOUNDATION, since 2002, helped more than a lakh family in coastal Andhra districts by providing cooked food, temporary shelters, bread, vegetables, water and clothes etc when they were affected by floods. In the year 2003, when many villages were affected with drought, VASUDHA FOUNDATION distributed rice, pulses, clothes and other essential commodities in the entire drought effected areas. 15 villages in Bodhan in Nizamabad district and 22 villages in Kruthivennu mandal in Krishna district received assistance from VASUDHA FOUNDATION.
Many institutes like orphanages, old age homes, homes for mentally retarded, homes for physically handicapped are receiving all kinds of assistance from VASUDHA FOUNDATION. In addition to that, VASUDHA FOUNDATION is also conducting medical camps in rural areas where medical facilities are not available.
